Maptun Sleeve Coupling Oil Pan/Oil pump Saab 1.9/2.0 TTiD

Sleeve Coupling for e.g Saab 9-3 II 1.9 TTiD and 9-5 II 2.0 TTiD.
Maptun’s version is an improvement of the sleeve coupling that, in many cases, fails to maintain a proper seal between the oil pan (sump) and oil pump pick up tube. This can result in the pump sucking air when the engine starts, causing the oil lamp to flash and the warning message "low oil pressure stop immediately" to appear, especially during the colder part of the year.
The original sleeve coupling is also sensitive during installation and can easily be damaged or improperly sealed against the oil pan due to several variables. It can also age and lose its sealing ability in just a few years.
Maptun's seal is designed for maximum flow and guarantees tightness in all areas, regardless of the thickness of the sealant applied between the engine block and the oil pan during replacement. It comes with 3 high-quality Viton o-rings for maximum resistance to hot engine oil.
Mounting procedure:
- Remove Oil Pan from enginge.
- Dismantle OEM sealing carefully, with a flat screwdriver.
- Unscrew the two M6 scruws on the oil pickup and mount the new o-rings (lubricated with included grease). Put on the flange which locks the oil pickup and reassamble the screws (10Nm tightening torque).
- Apply sealant and remount the oil pan. Make sure that surfaces are well cleaned! Be carufull and check that the sleeve gets in o the hole in the oil pump!
Maptun recomends that the Subframe is dissasambled from the car, during the course of the work.
