Repair Kit, Guide Rail, Timing Chain B207/A20N*
$25.37
Description
We are proud to release Maptun's version of a very smart and labor-saving product for Saab 9-3 II B207 / A20NFT and 9-5 II A20NHT / A20NFT
This is a repair/upgrade of the upper screw that holds the front cam chain rail.
Unfortunately, it is quite common for this screw to break and cause noise in the cam chain transmission and a high risk of failure when the rail changes position and becomes unstressed.
During repair, it is very difficult to get the broken screw out, which is located inside a cavity in the cylinder head, resulting in high repair costs. Often the cylinder head must be removed from the car for repair.
This screw replaces the original M6 screw and the “cover plug”.
If the accident has occurred and the M6 screw is still broken off, it does not need to be dismantled to use this solution.
This repair kit is also recommended to be installed as a preventive measure as the construction is much stronger than the original. This upgrade eliminates the risk of this unfortunate breakdown in the future!
When installing the screw, you must follow the same procedure as for other interventions in the chain transmission, for example, zeroing the cam chain tensioner, etc.
Follow the workshop manual!
The screw is made of the best aluminum quality 7075, and surface treated for hardness and corrosion resistance
Must be mounted with thread locking. O-ring in Viton included, for maximum closeness.
