CCV Breather 9-3 II/9-5 II B207/A20N*T

Upgraded check valve for the crankcase ventilation system. Developed as a more robust replacement for the original crankcase ventilation valve used on Saab/GM Ecotec B207 and A20* engines. The original valve is made of plastic and uses a thin silicone diaphragm to control the crankcase ventilation system. The diaphragm is continuously exposed to heat, oil mist and crankcase gases, which over time causes the material to deteriorate, begin to leak and eventually lose its function. This makes the original valve a clear weak point in the crankcase ventilation system. When the valve no longer seals and operates correctly, the pressure conditions inside the crankcase can be affected. This can result in increased oil consumption, oil leaks and other problems caused by excessive crankcase pressure. A leaking or defective check valve can also affect the engine's fuel adaptations, as air can enter the system in a way that the engine management system does not expect. On tuned engines, where engine load and boost pressure are often higher than standard, a correctly functioning crankcase ventilation system becomes even more important. Maptun's upgraded valve is manufactured from surface-treated aluminium and uses an internal, spring-loaded rubber diaphragm. This design provides greater durability and more consistent operation compared with the original valve's thin diaphragm construction.
